With the NBA playoffs continuation the golden state warriors (reigning champs) have been eliminated by the Los Angeles lakers. This game was truly an upset but I believe that it easily could have been avoided.

The first problem that I observed in the warriors game plan was the lack of committing to roles already established on the team. An example of this was a few nights ago jordan Poole attempting the game winning shot, when the options should have been Stephen curry or klay Thompson the clear shooting leaders on the team. But this is only one example.

Another example of the warriors decline during the playoffs would be the lack of defense being effectively payed, with the focus set on offensive players the defensive presence is soon overlooked.

If there is anything I’m sure about however, is that the warriors will adapt and overcome with players like klay, Steph, and even draymond the push for the finals will be even greater.
